Knee Replacement Puts CQ Out of Commission for the Holidays!

Layla and Nigel are keeping me safe through my post op phase. We just wanted to wish everyone a happy holiday...no baking for Layla or CQ this Christmas...had a knee replacement on Dec. 15, so we're off our feet for a while!

These are one of my favorite Christmas cupcakes: http://52cupcakes.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

Hi....I had my knee replacement on Nov. 30th. I wish you the very best. I had two weeks of in home physcial therapy(three times a wk) and this week I started at out patient therapy. I graduated from the walker to a cane and now I don't even need that...even for the stairs! Of course, I am not 100% yet but I think another three weeks or so, I will be fine. Why did I wait so long? I suffered for twenty years. The other knee will be done in 2011. Maybe I will schedule it at the same time because it got me out of a lot of Christmas work. LOL Marilyn(68 yrs old)

I made a chocolate cupcake using soy chocolate peppermint milk as my milk ingredient and the had a peppermint frosting. I served them at a Christmas party and they were delish! Peppermint is the key ingredient to Christmas desserts!
