Oh Baby--Baby Ruth Chocolate Cupcakes!

Yes, it's true I am on a candy cupcake trip...this week's entry is the Baby Ruth Chocolate Cupcake with vanilla frosting topped with bits of frozen Baby Ruth bits! Whew!

This photo shows what the cupcakes looked like when they went into the oven.

This one is what they looked like when they came out....

And these are what they looked like when they were put in front of Layla!

My suggestion would be to use the hershey's cookies-n-creme bars theme. vanilla cupcakes with bar crumbles inside and ontop of the frosting

Reese's! It's my favorite. I've made some, but I'd love to see what you do with it!

  9. Oh I'd have to say #1, thank you for making me nearly lick my computer screen, & #2, candy bar of my choice would have to be a MOUNDS! Man do I LOVE THOSE! They're small enough that if you cut em in half or in 3rds, they'd fit perfectly into a yummy chocolaty cupcake and you could top with shaved coconut AND AN ALMOND for those who feel like a nut! ;)

I know that anything you decide on will be mouth watering as it always is! Oh, and when you have a moment, drop me an email as I have a question to ask you, thanks!

  15. Hey! These look really great! I tried making the Frozen Lemon Cream cupcakes from your archives a week ago and they turned out really well. =) I'd just like to ask, if I want to change the cream to vanilla cream with chunks of fresh strawberries in the cream, is it possible to do so such that the cream hardens but the strawberries remain juicy? Thanks for the help in advance!

Those look good. What about cupcakes with m&m's, but not plain. Use mint or peanut butter.

  19. What is most fun (and impressive) is to make your own candy for cupcakes. It's really easy to make your own toffee or a nut brittle. Then you can use that, and have some to munch on!

I've got a great and pretty simple toffee recipe if you'd like to try!

  20. Like trulalock, I was thinking Skittles (mostly because it's not chocolate) however, Jennifer's suggestion of Rolo's sounds divine!

Have you heard of Violet Crumble? That might be something interesting to try if you can get your hands on it.

  22. Hi CQ! I just love your blogs and all of the cupcake recipes you posted here. I just have a question, well more like a request, can you post the Baby Ruth Chocolate Cupcake recipe? When I saw the photo that shows what they look like when they came out of the oven looks so divine. I still need to perfect my chocolate cupcakes just like these. Maybe you could help? Thanks. Your response will be greatly appreciated.
