uh oh...another brother bet: redskins vs seahawks

My brother, Jim, and I have another bet...it's on today's semi-final football game between the Washington Redskins and the Seattle Seahawks...I am, of course, for the Redskins...go skins!....loser makes a dozen cupcakes and sends them over night to the winner....sigh...hope our lucks holds...on the other hand, I'm not sure how good a baker my brother is...hmmmm

  1. Fortunately for me, my brother and I are on the same side on this one.

But what is with this "sigh" you're suggesting? This is Joe Gibbs. Have you given up even before the coin toss???

  2. I just got back from the game and am very soaked. I'm happy that the Seahawks won but sorry to see you lost another bet to your sibling. I am excited to see what you'll bake for him. Since we're famous for our apples out here, may I suggest a cupcake with apples in it? My most favorite recipes of yours have been the ones you've invented so I'm sure you could come up with something great! Love your Cupcake escapades!!!

Though I'm no pro football watcher, even I feel bad for you and your 'skins. The hope was so high all over the area. If nothing else, those boys in crimson and gold have a solid fan base. Next time?

Um, your disappointment and bet-losing baking won't get in the way of your normal CQ duties, right? I mean, I'm not trying to be callous or self-serving or anything...

  4. Sorry to hear you lost the bet! However... as you said... are you sure you would've wanted cupcakes baked by a man after his team lost the game??? :) On another note, will you ever tell us how to make your invented "real banana pudding cupcakes"???? Can't wait to see what you make for your brother...

The only way to know if "bro" can bake is to make a bet you can definitely win! There will likely be more opportunities at NCAA tournament time. If he loses, we'll have to give him an appropriate title...Prince of Cupcakes?

If we lived closer, I'd suggest making those Banana Pudding cupcakes but they don't look like they would withstand the journey.

Looking forward to another batch of cupcakes!

Love, Mary H (and your bro).

How on earth do you ship your cupcakes?? I have been searching for a way for months but can't come up with anything that doesn't come out a mess! Please advise...
