Monday Night Football...But Really Go Redskins....Cupcakes!

These were the quickest cupcakes I've ever made...and the most frustrating at the same time! Very busy at work...come home...first Monday Night Football Game...gametime? 7:00. Uh oh! Layla said that we must have cupcakes for the Redskins or else they would lose the game tonight!

Such pressure! Do you know how hard it is to make burgundy frosting? I still haven't figured it out and the first quarter is almost over!

Even Layla..who is usually very kind about the cupcakes...said they tasted a lot better than they looked!

Go Skins...and Rock on!

Oh yeah...these are chocolate cupcakes stuffed with Vosges' black pearl chips (ginger + Japanese wasabi + black sesame seeds + Belgian dark chocolate).

Today's Skins post was just the one this homesick Washingtonian needed. Looks from here that you got the frosting as close to burgundy as possible. They are adorable.

"Braves on the warpath, FIGHT for OLD...D.Ccccc.!!" (I can hear that last line ringing in my ears as I type this...in Bangkok.

So sorry that your 'skins lost, but we can console ourselves with chocolate. Yes, that's it. Chocolate.

ginger + Japanese wasabi + black sesame seeds + Belgian dark chocolate? Are you serious? Uh, need some more taste testers on the other side of the Potomac?

I just came back from NYC where I had to make a stop at the SoHo Vosges shop. The black pearl truffle is my favorite! Also ate a cupcake at Billy's! It was yummy and such a cute shop. But I think I actually prefer Magnolia's buttercream.
